Used only to plan classes and email you about them.

When you join the class list, we ask for your name and email. You can also tell us your town, which classes interest you, whether you want a ThinkPad, and what you'd like AI to help you with.

We use it only for classes: to plan them (your town helps us pick a spot that works for most people) and to email you about them. It's kept in a database on Cloudflare, the company that runs this website.

To leave the list, email Alex at alex@censai.app and we'll delete your details.

Paid classes are recorded so their students can rewatch them. We record the instructor's screen and voice, not the room. Recordings are only for students of that class.

Until the Lessons library has a student sign-in, recordings are stored privately: each one is an unlisted video link that we share only with the students of that class.

If you'd rather not be heard on a recording, tell Alex and we'll pause or trim it.

The “Ask Iowa AI” assistant runs on Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. When you send a question, it goes to Anthropic along with your earlier messages in that chat and the page you're on, so Claude can write an answer. Iowa AI doesn't store your messages.

Under Anthropic's terms for business customers, it can't use these conversations to train its models. Anthropic deletes them within 30 days, unless one is flagged for breaking its usage rules or the law requires keeping it longer.

Please don't type anything private into the assistant, like passwords, card numbers or health details.

We don't set any cookies. The assistant keeps your chat in your browser's session storage, so it follows you from page to page, and your browser clears it when you close the tab.

The lesson explainers remember whether you picked Dolls or Chat, in your browser's local storage. None of it is sent to us.

Booking a call happens on Calendly, which has its own cookies and privacy policy.

None right now: no visitor tracking, no ad pixels and no third-party scripts. If that changes, we'll update this page first.

Cloudflare runs this site. Like any web host, it sees technical details such as your IP address when it delivers a page, and keeps short-lived logs to keep the site running and safe. We also use your IP address to limit how many questions the assistant answers and how many sign-ups the form takes each minute, so nobody can flood them.

We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it with advertisers.
